Dear Friends,
A very warm welcome is extended to you from the heart of Bavaria, to this years Munich Feis.
We are returning to our venue in Oberschleissheim in the month of June. We will be running three stages with trophies for top3 dancers in Primary and Open level Trophy dances and Championship. We have an extra Championship for under 8 and under 10 dancing their traditional as their set.
Due to hot weather our Open Championships will be 40 bars for the Reel and Heavy Jig and 32 bars for the Slip Jig and Hornpipe.
Our awards stage will be outside again beside the beergarden complete with Microphone and speakers this year.
The Tir na nOg under 5 competition will return again. This competition will be for under fives and they only need 16 bars of music. The dancers will not move out of this dance it is for pure fun ! We are also offering extra Light Jig and Single Jigs in Intermediate levels and due to popular demand our Adult Preliminary Championships. We are also offering figure dancing competitions.
Ryanair are offering flights from Dublin direct to Memmingen(Munich). This airport is West of Munich and is accessible by train. Easyjet also has some great offers from London. Aer lingus fly direct from Dublin.
For teachers, we can offer a full hospitality suite operating throughout the day, where you are welcome to come along and relax, chat and have a bite to eat.
The Kurfurst Hotel is our Feis Hotel again this year. It has lovely family rooms, a swimming pool and restaurant all in walking distance from the Oberschleissheim Castle. There are other hotels all at the next train stop at Unterschleissheim.
